GIVE YOUR CHILD A JUMP START ON THE SEASON!
Each preseason SAC provides an opportunity for our 4-6th graders to attend our skills and training session that will be hosted by Sycamore High School Coaches and Players. There will be separate sessions for each age group. These sessions are a great way to get your child back into the swing of basketball. The time will primarily be spent running drills with an emphasis on learning and skill development. We typically have time for some scrimmaging and games.
Q: Who can attend JumpStart?
A: 4th, 5th, or 6th grade Boys & Girls who live in the Sycamore School District
Q: When are the sessions and how long do they last?
A: Sessions are held at E.H. Greene Intermediate School from 6-9 pm and last approximately 60 minutes per age group.

Q: What is the format of each session?
A: The format varies from week to week but typically the first half of the session focuses on developing specific basketball skills (i.e. dribbling, passing, shooting, etc ...) and the second half involves 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 pickup games.
Q: Do I need to sign-up or attend each week?
A: No. Simply show up and attend when it fits your schedule.
Q: Do I need to bring a basketball?
A: No. SAC will provide basketballs for JumpStart.
Q: Who runs the JumpStart sessions?
A: Sycamore High School Varsity Head Coaches, Derek Christerson and Andrew Ovington, will lead the JumpStart sessions.

GIRLS PRESEASON OPPORTUNITIES
4-6 GRADE GIRLS OPEN GYM
Sycamore High School Head Girls Basketball Coach, Derek Christerson will be hosting a girls-only open gym on September 11 from 6-7 pm at the Gregory Center.
2-3RD GRADE GIRLS CLINIC
Sycamore High School Head Girls Basketball Coach, Derek Christerson will be hosting a special GIRLS ONLY Basketball Clinic! This is a night of fun games and drills. They will provide your child with the opportunity to learn more about basketball in an instructional environment. It's a low key event that is also an opportunity to see if your child would enjoy playing in our Recreational basketball winter league.
